We held our flag raising ceremony today at Allen County Children Services to kick off April’s Child Abuse Prevention Month. A special thank you to the Lima Firefighters Memorial Honor Guard for conducting the ceremony. Allen County Commissioner Brian Winegardner  read a proclamation on behalf of the Board of Commissioners declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Allen County. The United States Flag and the Children’s Memorial Flag were raised. The Children’s Memorial Flag recognizes children lost to abuse or neglect across the country.
