Myla

Myla is a bright, independent 16‑year‑old with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She is outgoing, gregarious and happiest when she’s surrounded by friends. Social connection comes naturally to her, and she brings energy and creativity into every space she enters. Myla is also a talented artist who enjoys expressing herself through her artwork.

Academically, Myla sometimes struggles to complete her schoolwork but she responds well to encouragement, structure and adults who help her stay focused without being overbearing. She is deeply connected to her siblings—though they do not live together, she cherishes every opportunity to spend time with them.

Myla works part‑time and takes pride in earning her own money. She is engaged with her Independent Living worker and is eager to learn the skills she needs to thrive as a young adult. She does best with adults who respect her independence while still offering guidance, consistency and genuine investment in her life.

Myla will thrive in a home that values her independence, celebrates her creativity and makes her feel like a priority. A family who can balance freedom with support—and who enjoys staying connected and active—would be a wonderful fit for her.
