UnGarage Sale helps 261 people
Our 16th annual UnGarage Sale is over but the results are a lot of people were helped: 134 children and 127 adults stopped by and picked up clothing and household items. Neighborhood Relief Ministries served 224 meals and handed out 52 food boxes, along with school supplies and personal hygiene items. The Lima Public Library was there to sign people up for library cards and WOCAP was on hand to sign children up for Early Head Start. We appreciate all the volunteers who helped make this event possible.
A special thank you to Lima Baptist Temple for their volunteers who helped set up and who helped the day of the event with just about everything we needed. Thank you to the Temple Christian Girls’ Volleyball Team for helping with set up. Thank you Pastor Roz and your wonderful team from Neighborhood Relief Ministries. Thank you to everyone who donated clothing, pots, pans, decorations and other household items. Without the donations from the community this event is not possible.
This event is a wonderful example of the best the community has to offer and how those with a little more can help those with a little less. Again, thank you to everyone.
